Insulin IGF
It’s important to us to keep our loyal readers up-to-date on the most cutting edge muscle builders that’s why we’re always keeping an eye out. When we come across supplements, workouts, and treatments that work, we want to let you know. Recently popping up on our radar is Insulin like Growth Factor.
Insulin-like growth factor, or IGF, is long chain of several peptides that is molecularly similar to insulin, therefore having some similar effects. But there are also some interesting differences. There have been several recent studies conducted on the effects of IGF. It has been shown to repair damaged tissue, help burn victims regrow skin, and help AIDS patients repair atrophied muscles. After hearing about these incredible results, we had to know if there were any bodybuilding applications to IGF.
With a little bit more research, we discovered that in fact it did.
It’s been shown that injecting IGF into muscle tissue results in muscular hyperplasia and skeletal muscle hypertrophy. This occurs because the IGF actually goes into the muscle and induces rapid protein synthesis. Hyperplasia is an increase in muscle cell count and hypertorphy is an actual increase is individual cell size. Both lead to higher volumes of muscle tissue.
Some supplement companies are already jumping on the bandwagon. IGF serum injections are being manufactured and marketed. These products claim to expand muscle mass for rippling definition, accelerate protein synthesis, and repair broken tissue and incredible rates. While these products are still in their early stages they seem to hold quite a bit of promise. Though having to use a syringe to start your workouts could be a bit of a drawback, it may be worth it if we could see those kind of results.
In any case, we’ll have some IGF treatments available for review as soon as we can. If they are as effective as they are being made out to be, will be sure to let you know.
